General Legal Assistant (Colombia)

Training Rate: $3,000,000 COP / month

Client-Matched Rate: $3,600,000 COP / month

 

Overview

We are seeking a self-motivated individual with a strong interest in the legal field to join our team as a Legal Assistant. You’ll support attorneys and legal teams on administrative and case-related tasks. This remote, contract role offers exposure to diverse, challenging assignments.

Training Process

New team members start in a paid training program covering core expectations while assisting on real cases. After completing training, you’ll support existing teams full-time and may be matched with your own client or law firm.

Common Responsibilities

  • Case Management Support: Organize case files, prepare documents, manage deadlines, and maintain accurate records.

  • Client Communication: Gather case details, schedule appointments, provide updates, and handle inquiries via phone, email, and messaging.

  • Document Prep & Research: Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence; perform research and summarize findings.

  • Administrative & Scheduling: Manage calendars, intake calls, emails, and general administrative tasks.

Qualifications

  • English & Communication: Excellent written and verbal English (C1+), comfortable with calls and professional correspondence.

  • Technical & Organizational: Proficient with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace; comfortable with email/video tools; strong task and deadline management.

  • Detail-Oriented & Self-Starter: High accuracy; prior customer-facing experience; strong problem-solving.

  • Remote-Ready: 40 hours/week in typical U.S. business hours (e.g., 8am–5pm); reliable computer, stable internet, quiet workspace.

  • Independent & Organized: Able to work with minimal supervision, anticipate needs, and juggle multiple tasks efficiently.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience in legal case management or similar fields

  • Familiarity with legal/medical/case-management software

  • Legal degree or paralegal certificate
